I heard a story recently…
from my piano teacher, who teaches a girl who always has her hair covering her left eye. It’s because she has a severe case of lazy eye since she was young, but when doctors recommended surgery to be done sooner rather than later, her mother wanted to wait when she was older. Unfortunately, when she allowed her daughter to do so, it was already too late. She cuts her wrists and has little self-esteem. I have never met this girl and I’ve never seen a picture of her but I hope that someday, someone will walk into her life and make her feel beautiful. I hope that someday, she will look past her differences and learn to love life again.
